Singapore Ranger Creed
Recognizing that I volunteered as a Ranger, fully knowing the hazards of my chosen profession, I will always endeavour to uphold the prestige, honour and esprit de corps of the Ranger
Acknowledging the fact that a Ranger is a more elite soldier that arrives at the cutting edge of battle by land or by sea, I accept the fact that as a Ranger, my country expects me to walk further, faster and fight harder than any soldier.
Never shall I fail my comrades, I will always keep myself mentally alert, physically fit and morally straight and I will shoulder more than my share of the task
Whatever it may be. One hundred percent and then some
Gallantly will show the world that I am specially selected and well- trained solider.
My courtesy to superior officers, my neatness of dress and my care of equipment shall set the example for others to follow.
Energetically will I fight the enemies of my county. I shall defeat them on the field of battle, for I am better trained and will fight with all my might. Surrender is not a Ranger word. I will never leave a fallen comrade to fall into the hands of the enemy and under no circumstances will I ever embarrass my county.
Readily will I display the intestinal fortitude required to fight onto the Ranger objective and complete the mission, through I be the lone survivor -

But Rangers are not a unit by their own what. They talk like they want to fight .. but when you become CO or S3 liao you don't have many chance to fight.
Also .. why by land or sea .. where is the air? Rangers are not airborne certified? -
i think.... thats becoz they can only fight at land and sea.... air how to fight? fight they leave it to out pilot lah!
they can AIRBORNE ....DOESNT MEAN THEY CAN FIGHT IN THE AIR LOR

so they cannot arrive by air?
American rangers are airborne certified ok. we are just tougher than them. -

I am a military policeman in the Singapore Armed Forces.
I serve my country with PRIDE, DISCIPLINE and HONOUR.
With PRIDE, I will always discharge my duties firmly, fairly, honestly and without fear or favour.
With DISCIPLINE, I will always strive for the highest standards of soldiering.
With HONOUR, I will always accomplish my missions courageously, loyally and decisively. -

Logisticians have the Logistician's Lament.
The Logistician
Logisticians are a sad and embittered race of men who are very much in demand in war, and who sink resentfully into obscurity in peace. They deal only in facts, but must work for men who merchant in theories. They emerge during war because war is very much a fact. They disappear in peace because peace is mostly theory. The people who merchant in theories, and who employ logisticians in war and ignore them in peace, are generals.
Generals are a happily blessed race who radiate confidence and power. They feed only on ambrosia and drink only nectar. In peace, they stride confidently and can invade a world simply by sweeping their hands grandly over a map, pointing their fingers decisively up terrain corridors, and blocking defiles and obstacles with the sides of their hands. In war, they must stride more slowly because each general has a logistician riding on his back and he knows that, at any moment, the logistician may lean forward and whisper: "No, you can't do that." Generals fear logisticians in war and in peace, generals try to forget logisticians.
Romping along beside generals are strategists and tacticians. Logisticians despise strategists and tacticians. Strategists and tacticians do not know about logisticians until they grow to become generals--which they usually do.
Sometimes a logistician becomes a general. If he does, he must associate with generals whom he hates; he has a retinue of strategists and tacticians whom he despises; and, on his back, is a logistician whom he fears. This is why logisticians who become generals always have ulcers and cannot eat their ambrosia. -
