How to get myself prepared for SOF selection

I'm interested in trying out for the SOF selection.
Anybody has any idea or tips on how to get myself prepared for it? -
the application form comes with a recommended 1 month training program for you to prepare yourself physically for the selection

SOF is only for commando regulars right?

Btw I know I must prepare myself mentally and physically but I know nothing about what is going to happen during the selection.
So for the selection, how will I be graded as passed the selection? Will the instructor there grade people and disqualify people or is it a endurance game where you fall out from the election when you can't take it anymore? -

its good that u ve the intention to try it out
from my point of view, its not ONLY PHYSICALLY FIT! but... ur mental will power play a critical part! i have friend who run above 10min (2.4) also pass out from the selection test! and ended up hes in the SOF (till now) so.... i think FIT is one thing.... how u go through the training is another! instructor will observe and take consideration on ur character, personality and team sprit as well. ..... ops... almost forget.... u must be SMART as well as they have IQ or EQ test also
anyway, just remember this, when u going through the training, DONT THINK! JUST DO IT! IF YOU START TO THINK, YOU WILL GO HEY WIRE!

By the way, I'm PES A but I have a serious question.
I'm short-sighted. Around 225-250 in right eye and 250-275 in left eye.
Will I still be eligible for the selection?
Is short-sightedness out of question when they select people?

If u pass the selection, they will sent u for lasik surgery.U will receive a list of training programme to condition ur body, but dun depends on the list coz what u face in the selection is far from it.I think the most difficult test that u need to pass is endless pt and road march.Be prepare..their tsr totally different from SAF..hope u know wat i mean.Btw there is a selection in june, train hard and torture urself lst before they torture u. -
while attendin my course at HCC, i saw the SOF selection undergoin...
in grps of 6, each grp will carry the power boat (i dunoe wat is it called) dat the divers use i tink arnd the camp, wherever u go...
there'll b a lot of physical activities...mental side will b askin u to roll on mud, camo wif the mud for each other...guess wat i saw....camo teeth wif mud... -

my friend ex-SOF...he say no need very strong but must be able to run and endure....got alot of those san san ji gi goot fellas oso....but he is quite tuff one lah...

Wouldn't worry too much about that - you won't have to know any specific fighting techniques. Anything else and I fear we'll be revealing too much.

if u really reach till the boxing stage trust me, no matter what u GET... U STILL HAVE TO TONG bleeding at this stage is damn fc.ukin normal
