How to get myself prepared for SOF selection

  Why would anyone want to get the ranger tab other than boost the ego and pride? I thought the real pros are silent?
  
  In operations you're still doing what you should be doing .. be it a CO or OC. You still chiong with the company or lead the battalion. Where got use those skills you learnt from the ranger course?

  There is, unfortunately, professional pressure within the Commando formation to complete the Ranger course - promotion schedules are affected by whether or not the soldeir has the tab.
