4 SIR is located along Old Lim Chu Kang Road, which is a small branch off from the main Lim Chu Kang Road, which means that you cannot really see the cemetaries from your bunk.
Instead, your nights would most probably be disturbed by jet fighters taking off, since Tengah is just nearby.
Birds rule the roost in this camp. The official mascot is the Eagle, and almost everything there is an off-shoot of the animal. Not surprising, you can also smell the fragrance of live chicken from the nearby farm. Not very good for your appetite (and whenever you are doing runs), but you do get used to it after quite a while of vomitting... -

alright.. i just ORD from 4SIR not long ago.. i'm 11th mono intake.. so let me tell u all tt u wanted to know ba... ok.. first.. CO changed.. from my CO which is an infantry soldier to a COMMANDO OFFICER! congrats... tough days ahead!
as for RSM.. i dunno.. last time mine is a commando.. heard now become a muslim or hindu.. nvm.. second.. the camp is bloody old although renovated before.. i did heard of some 'stories' abt the camp when i first enlisted.. but my 2yrs there, i didnt encountered any.. as u know, since the camp is soooo old, surely there's some rumours here n there.. whatever it is, just dont believe it.. third.. if u're posted to BRAVO COMPANY, congrats! tt's my company! current OC is my previous 2IC.. he's a good guy.. so dont worry.. fourth.. if u're posted to SUPPORT COMPANY, CONGRATS TOO!! their encik is MY ENCIK!! HAHA... he damn ON one.. everyday jogging do exercises! nothing to do also wont let us wander ard one.. fuck! but he's a nice person if u get along well with him.. just give him a stick of cigar and he's your friend liao.. also, support company block in front got a big big tree.. heard tt tt tree is not normal.. some spirits are staying inside.. tts why forever cant cut tt tree.. un-cut-able... fifth.. after u enlisted, u will realise there's a abandon sort of like haunted block.. tts 622.. meant for reservist.. simple.. for me eg... tt block look scary at night as all the road lamps are normally switch off.. but relax... look scary only.. inside friendly one... hahaha.... doing guard duties confirm will walk till there one... ok enough of these... actually their cookhouse not bad one... dont be so choosey shouldnt be a problem... at night, beside officer's mess, there's a small eatery.. foods very nice.. aunite very good... her daughter EVEN nicer!!! dont worry.. make ur 2yrs there a happy one... anything i left out, anything in doubt just ask me..... -

Gentleman, you want to know more about 4 SIR, take it from me or pkchukiss. I am the outgoing Asst Chief Clerk and pkchukiss is an outgoing Scout...meaning, we are rotting at a corner of 4SIR waiting to ORD.
Firstly, DuanChengFeng, the NEW CO is not a CDO Officer. That one is YOUR reservist CO.
Secondly, yes the RSM is an Indian. Very nice guy, but then don't fool around with him. Trust me on that lar, I am a specialist.
Thirdly, all the new OCs are the pervious 2IC and hence, they are all very nice ppl. The OC that DuanChengFeng mentioned, his previous appointment was SAFDB Deputy Commandant, so I advise all that go his company to be vigiliant.
I no need to tell you much on the location and the surrounding is like since DuanChengFeng and pkchukiss has talk about it at length. But did I mentioned that one of the company have got a female specialist...go figure which company.
If you need directions to the camp, I believe CMPB had mailed you the map that took 1 enlistee, 1 specialist and 1 officer to prepare, photocopy, staple and 2 enlistee to fold. In short, effort had been put in to ensure tat even before you enlist you are welcome to the eagle family and the next 2 years it is gonna be hell of an experience; just like anyone else that had been through NS. -

Yes, we got a gym, quite okay lar. No, rec cannot use it as and when they like. And no, we do not have a PTI in camp. However, we will have PTI attatched to us for the duration of the PTP/BMT.
Please note there will NOT be any Parents' visitation day at the end of the 1st week enslistment. So if his parents want to come see the camp and talk to the commanders, they have to come on enlistment day. -

Usually those who come in that late are ppl like me who are on fooking off/leave and yet need to go back to camp to settle stuff or jokers who ORD in Dec and still have yet to collect pink IC. -

I have heard that 4SIR got the best infantry award last yr, may i know all the combat vocation in 4SIR ? If possible, pls let me know the requirments to get into them.

4SIR best infantry unit last yr?? since when n where u heard this from?? haha.. i'm sure u still go SISPEC with ur 'O' but i think quite highly impossible since u're on mono intake.. unless u bring this up to ur OC or PC in future.. btw NSF like us got NO OVERSEA ALLOWANCE! unless u r a sergeant n above.. abt e vocation n requirements, i shall leave it to pkchukiss.. coz he's from support coy.. he should know each n everything... as for the rest of the 3 coy, there's only 1 vocation, tt is rifleman.. chiong n chiong n chiong n chiong.. nothing much.. support got more choices.. got scout got signaler got mortar many many..
