K, i got first hand info from my still in service instructor...
There is NO special treatment.
In fact, for some unforeseen circumstances, "T" coy's field camp have started and will burn an additional weekend.
FYI, Their CNY holiday was from Saturday to Thursday. Book in friday BUT no book out the Saturday/Sunday (Feb 4 & 5).
But the "special" treatment i know is that all facilities in the company was repaired.
During enlistment, guards are not issued rounds and no recruits may draw arms till the "VIP" is out of the island.
The instructions wasn't passed clearly and "neighbouring" coy drew arms, which led to bodyguards rushing over to interfere.
I also dunno how true the following story, but I heard that GSM signals are "strengtened" (by recalibrating antennas) because parents and sons don't seem to connect 100% of the time. -

nope he didn't,he's not in the PTP batch..
anyways truth is that he gets to book out on some days,like in the morning book out then book in the nite..dunno what for tho..
his platoon is very slack,got alot alot of free time..in tekong that's a benefit.. -

my friend same platoon as him. he say running that time.. he complain breathless(well, what type of running doesnt make u feel breathless) and told the instructor den instructor told him to take a rest. -

Well any 18-19 or 20 kid is like any other kid regardless if you are PM's kid or what.
If you know who i am refering to, the "VIP" before the PM's kid intentionally failed his IPPT but by some "technicality" he passed.
His reason was that he don't want to go OCS, which his wish came thru, he went SISPEC. -
well he didnt need the money too...if me i would go ocs cos i need the money...diff life

is it a coincidence that release of A level results clashes with taurus field camp?

I'm not sure if it is still the same, but when I was serving BMT from Dec 02-March 03(i was in the obese batch), ours is just 5 1/2 days field camp. Coz we do the trench digging and BIC on different days. The super obese ones that time do 2 3day 2nite Field camp, so its actually like 6 days 4 nites for them.
