The highest rank possible should be 4 star general. The rank given to him is honourary as the king is theoretically the commander of the entire MAF, but only for his term. When a sultan from another state takes over he will take over the title of king and his rank as well. I think i have heard of Saddam Hussein having a rank of 8 stars!!!

Edit:A 5 star general would be a Field Marshal is other armies.
