Some problems with my unit advice needed !

I am encountering some problem with a particular officer and i will like some advice on how to handle these issues with the minimal fuss and without causing trouble for anyone.
I am a 3SG NSF in a service unit. I am going to ORD in 20+ days time. My officer, which is like the dictator of our unit, is not too fond of me. He is trying to prevent me from doing my ORD FFI and clearance by giving excuses which even he himself knows i won't believe it.
He and his runner will scare me with stuff like : my dockets are still with my old BMTC company/school and they will let BMT settle my FFI for me (thats totally unbelievable seeing that i POPed 2 years ago and was with this UNIT since i poped. My NS term is 2 year 4 months). When i called their bluff and told them i already called my former BMTCH school's HQ and that their chief clerk insisted that none of my dockets were with them, they changed their tune and told me the MO here lost my docket. Basically they are giving any excuses they can and it is obvious they are just trying to get some amusement out of me
These are only some of the excuses they gave but basically, the runner told me outright that he is going to try his best to delay my ORD.
However, as my ORD is nearing, i don't find it amusing and i need to know are there any ways i can obtain my own dockets and schedule my own FFI with the MO at my camp. Medics can advise here please? I know what FFIs are and what you do during FFIs etc, but can medics advise me on the procedures on FFIs. Like for instance,
1. Is it necessary for my officer to schedule it for me?
2. Who will send my docket to the medical centre?
3. Basically, just tell me how it works.
Also some advise from the rest of you guys. Is it within their power to mess up my ORDate and to prevent me from doing FFI? I am definitely not intending to complain to a MP or complain to mindef or do any of those melodramatic crap. I just want to ORD peacefully and without creating any fuss? Any ideas anyone? -
Can you PM me your unit?Your case sounds familiar.
If I recall correctly, FFI is a must.And you have to really pull your weight with the Medical Center, if the docket is missing, it's a serious offence.
Don't let them play punk with you.Did you do anything to probably get this sort of treatment? -

2.Your docket is already at the medical centre.Don't be stupid enough to believe him.
3.FFI is basically taking a series of rubber stamp type medical tests To clear the medical FFI,you need to take the dental FFI.Go book a date with the SAF dentist now! Coz if the dentist don't sign the dental FFI form,you cannot go for the medical FFI.Furthermore,dental FFI got long queue.
Note:They can never extend your ORD date! -

1 week after ORD/getting back my pink IC,I came back to clear it as A CIVILIAN.I actually had to book in at the guardhouse and get a camp pass.
The clerk told me that if I didnt come back and clear FFI,I cannot get my Certificate of Service.So lan lan had to come back. -

But his case, quite familiar.There are some ways to extend..very unethical ways, nearly criminal.But if a OC would do that, he deserves to be changkul-ed. -
i know of people who've done their FFI as a civilian. it sucks to still have to go back to camp when you've ORDed.
if you have only 20 days left and you still haven't scheduled your FFI, you'll most likely have to do it as a civilian. -
theres a thing call ORD interview. if really buay song hightlight ur issue to the hight chain of command in ur unit/HQ. u got nth to lose as a ording man

2. Probably S1 Br.
3. Arrange the FFI, then go at the appointed time. Voila. As for other procedures, go to your unit S1 branch and ask for advice. They will know.
They will usually give you a clearance form and tell you to go for your FFI. Its a very uncomplicated procedure.
In addition, talk to your OC and CSM and try to resolve this issue. Make it clear to the officer that you do not appreciate this nonsense. Can talk to unit S1 as well. He will prabably be interested to know about this admin rooster-up. But i do not think you need to go this far. Your OC/CSM has careers to think about, so i think they will be willing to put a stop to this nonsense.
Remember, the squeaking gate gets the oil. Make as much noise as possible and you will be surprised at how things will unfcuk itself. -
call the MC up or else tell u what if u anything happen to u during these 20+ days SAF is going to be reponsible for it becos u have not done the FFI yet.

3sg, use ur own initiative to find out from ur medical centre whether the docket is with them or not. And whether they recieved it or not. They have to track who took these documents one.
2ndly, u can inform the medical centre urself abt ur impending ord ffi thats not done yet. U must also let ur chief clerk know. Not everything must go thru officer.
finally, clearance form also can get from ur chief clerk one, aka orderly room. Just request for one copy. Start getting signatures and returning stores 1 week b4 ord. The final 3 signature, eg CO, CSM, RSM can get 3 -4 WORKING days before ORD.

2. Your docket is already in the medical center records room. If it isn't, inform your superiors and demand an investigation. Someone is gonna get serious sh*t. Luckily, it isn't going to be you.
3. Go to medical center and schedule an FFI. Ask them to make a dental FFI appointment for you as well. Unfortunately, as you have 20 days left, you most likely have to do all this as a civillian.
On a final note, remember that unless you enter DB, no one has the power to extend your ORD. I highly recommend what the others have said. Make noise. Lots of it. What that officer is doing to you is extremely unethical and conduct unbecoming of an officer. Go up to your superiors and tell them what's going on. Whatever backlash directed at you will not matter because you're going to be a civillian anyway.
What's more important is that you have a smooth and painless ORD. -

keep a cool head, do the cool thing, let them play all they want, remember one thing 20+ days more to go , clock is ticking down on your side. Army die die also must ROD you when the time comes.
If they ask you to say even a single day longer, a lot people head will roll that I can asure you my friend, because they will be breaking a lot of mindef laws.
Just keep your cool head, if the time comes and they still give you trouble let us know, we will find ways to help you. -
ur officer sounds sadistic to me. is he a regular? anw whether he is a regular or not, he has NO RIGHT to do that to u. no one can extend ur ord.
like most other guys had said, they do not hold ur docket, the medical centre does, so all u had 2 do is to book an appt wif the medical centre n tell them u wanna clear ur ffi...
e impt tink is not 2 do any thing stupid... esp when u nearing ord n even if they do not let u go medical centre... since u 3SG can always approach ur CSM or RSM, i tink enciks more obliged to help SGs...
btw jus on a curious note... can tell which unit u frm? so sadistic? -
Talk to your RSM. He should be the one of the main people you should discuss this with.
I had a nice RSM whom I had a good chat with on my last day..Tough chap but fair and reasonable on the job.I saw him at NDP last year when I was part of this row of photographers at the mobile column.
We managed to have a brief chat lol.

Actually, I don't think the RSMs/CSMs will be of much help. In my limited experience, these people usually defer to the authority of the officers and most of them have a "don't rock the boat" attitude. Sure, they are very assertive in front of privates and sgts. But in front of officers they seem more passive.
People in the S1 branch, however, will be more interested to help since this is their bread and butter. They also have the clout and power to help you. Everything goes through them. WHen the officer ords, he will have his paperwork go through them, etc.
Further, the chief clerk will usually be a warrant (i think). The other non-nsf clerks will be NUSAF and so will probably be mroe sympathetic to your plight. -

If your docket is not there, consult the chief clerk of your unit S1 branch.
chances are, your PC and his runner are a pain in the ar-se! -
Btw thought SAF medical service have went paperless liao...so all ur medical records is in the computer......the docket is to keep the print out only what.

they cannot extend yr ORD date. but on the day u ORD, they can confine u till 2359. my fren's upper study kena before.

i believe we are just hearding one side of the story. why would a person purposely make life difficult for u? mind telling what happened between u and him that cause this bad relationship?

3sg, i sugest u look for ur RSM or even CO to resolve this matter. Ur ORD cannot be extended for no reason. But stay cool and don't get into a conflict with ur problematic officer, he may find some excuse to charge u.
Ur RSM and CSM should be able to help u, unless ur are on bad terms with them also. -

1. i have never heard of officer schedule FFI for NSF, its done by the clerks. Talk to your chief clerk, and curry favour abit, for info chief clerk usually quiet powerful in unit. Every CO / Head / blah blah.. also give face to her, coz of her yrs of service plus lots of admin have to go thru her. She is the best person to get help.
2. The clerk will be the one to send dockets to medical centre usually lah.. And yes there are time where dockets get lost in unit, and sorry such things usually will not get charge. But will have lots of problem on admin side, they will redo the dockets without much back date info of your medical only..
3. If all the above don't works, then sign on lor.. wahaha.. kidding..
you can always request higher interview with CO or etc.. If all these people try to be funny, go to the MP. MP Letter shoot to camp, by 24 hr have to return with good answer by the CO or etc... which ever is higher authority...
p/s: Last not least, to my experience units are very afraid of MP letter. Coz very ma fan.. lots of explanation to be done. But before going to MP, get all evidences or etc.. records of threats from your officers. So that the MP know what to do..

He's been mean to me ever since i entered the units I have taken a long term MC of about 2-3 months before because of a torn ligament. Since then, it has fuelled his dislike towards me. One side of the story? Even if i am a chao keng (which i am not), even if there are problems with my character that i am unaware of, and which causes him to be mean to me, NOTHING can explain and warrant why he can abuse his power as a Regular officer to make petty things like ORD clearance hard for a NSF. For the past few months especially after my long MC, he has threatened me with stuff like making sure no local University will accept me or making sure i won't get a COS, just to see my reaction.
Please understand, the reason i only quoted "one side" of the story is because it is irrelevant as i am asking for advice about this situation now, not to complain about what a tyrant my officer is.
And thanks for all the advices. I can schedule my medical FFI on my own, but for my dental FFI, as i will need to go to other camps, i still need them to schedule it for me. Much appreciated for all the help again.
