Not advisable. Even full-time course is subject to approval from SAF. I think all part-time course are not reconginze by the SAF. Even part-timers after NS have to seek deferment approval from their respective units.
Even if u enter NS liao, dun think u can managed.
1.) BMT. Depending on wat PES and wat IPPT standard u attained, u will NOT be able to attend part-time class ranging from 3 to 5 months.
2.) After which, u will be posted out to units. Depending on ur unit's training schedule which includes new training, induction, etc. This may add up ranging from a few months to a year.
3.) Finally, u settle into ur unit. But time-to-time training, exercise, MOB, etc will further disrupt ur part-time course.
(Same scenario will apply to PES E/C personnel, although training will vary)
Plus not including orderly duties ranging from guard duty, COS, company duty, etc. Which may have a few times in a month spread across Mondays to Sundays.
On top of that, u are subjected to ur unit rules, some units forbids their soldiers from taking part-time courses, some units are stay-in units, some units only have alternative nights-off system, etc.
Therefore, not advisable, only consider after u have settled into ur unit. Then u can work out the time and see if it is possible or not but definately not before NS.
