my friend was a cpl during NSF days. then went to aust for studies. now he back in singapore going tru MOCC course to get his cpt. -

Hmm.. nowadays BMTC give L/2SG rank like free gift.
You come out from ASLC, be a 3SG for 1-2 batch. your CSM/OC happy. recommend you for L/2SG.
CO's rationale is because a L/2SG PS can be respected more than a S/3SG PS. A S/3SG Section instructor will be "required" to show more respect to a L/2SG.

When i got posted to BMTC to serve the remainder of my NSF (2 months). I totally gave the L/2SG a hard time correcting them in front of recruits. haha
I know it is not the good thing to do in front of recruit lah. But it is something i have to do so the L/2SG should buck up in thier knowledge.
they can KNNCCB build a sub-standard triple conc wire and tell the recruits, that's the standard in unit when they haven't been in unit.
OC bring me to his office and have a "nice talk". I tell him, if i don't correct the L/2SG now, they will be teaching another 3-4 batches of recruits this standard.
He LPPL cannot argue, realised I am going to ORD, so instead of more harm, he let me clear off/leave earlier. haha. -

He went further on by saying the recruit idiot only "O" level. -

i don't humiliate people nor do i abuse my little rank.
i'm not even an A leel or diploma holder. but i do know that when i need help, the guys do help me. and when they need help, i'll help them if i'm of any use. -
