U been a commander n how u felt about the recruit? I heard "A" level recruit tend to be more arrogantOriginally posted by Ponders:Not sure.. i never seen that PC before.
it's is my pre-decessor's PC.
Well.. i just see such ppl as immature and misguided souls. It will be my job to get them into positive thinking about NS.Originally posted by will4:U been a commander n how u felt about the recruit? I heard "A" level recruit tend to be more arrogant
I also felt the same manner but "A" level nothing much already. Ur rank a third sergeant? I assumed u went abroad for university study?Originally posted by Ponders:Well.. i just see such ppl as immature and misguided souls. It will be my job to get them into positive thinking about NS.
yeah.. A level guys tend to me more arrogant.
You see, because i never liked to be identified as a degree holder, i tend to show that i did not even go Poly or JC.
So first impression of my A level recruit is that i am some hokkien peng and tend to condescend me. They will think i lack brainpower and thinking capacity.
I heard some of the "A" level recruit kena charged for insubordination?Originally posted by Ponders:Well.. i just see such ppl as immature and misguided souls. It will be my job to get them into positive thinking about NS.

To answer your previous questions.... why you asking so many questions. haha.Originally posted by will4:I heard some of the "A" level recruit kena charged for insubordination?
No offence but u seemed to be a caring sergeant. Changes took place already withOriginally posted by Ponders:To answer your previous questions.... why you asking so many questions. haha.
If you read my posts you will know my rank.
yes, A level recruits are more prone in insubourdination than Poly ones.
But in BMT, we try not to charge them and hopefully they understand the extent of leniency we afforded to them.
Some took it as we dare not charge due to amount of paper work involved (BIG MYTH)
Summary trials are now so computerised. No paper work. haha.
Hmm.. you can say that. I do really care for my men under me.Originally posted by will4:No offence but u seemed to be a caring sergeant. Changes took place already with
ST being computerized already.
I encountered some "A" level sergeant damn arrogant n thinking they going into university n treat the recruit condescendingly.Originally posted by Ponders:Hmm.. you can say that. I do really care for my men under me.
I never shout at them. When you explain in whatever things there is to be done in NS has a reason behind it. They will accept it and do willingly.
No point knocking sense into their head asking them to do 20 push ups every now and then and they still don't learn.
They are the very sergeants i don't mind embarrassing in front of recruits.Originally posted by will4:I encountered some "A" level sergeant damn arrogant n thinking they going into university n treat the recruit condescendingly.
I think to go university is common but some "A" level think they on top of the ladder.Originally posted by Ponders:They are the very sergeants i don't mind embarrassing in front of recruits.
Know nothing. Thinks know everything.
