  Can anybody tell me what this is ? and what to expect on this half day ?

  Dun act blur lah! ROD right?? Congrats! You will get a cert, service medal and a Hamilton from your Chief of Unit.

  seriously i dont know .... i oledi got my 2 medals n watch but not the cert 2 years ago ....

  MR stands for Mindef Reserve. The equavalent of ORD for ppl who completed their reservist cycle.
  
  For me, it was in process, rehersal for parade in multipurpose hall, admin stuff, speeches, briefing on MR status, award presentation, parade, then dinner, then outprocess.
