I think they do this so that people who go overseas after NS will not wear the uniform if they are playing paintball.
When i play paintball with my friends (i haven't gone NS then), they all wear No 4 and play. The Angmohs wear the US army one, we look so weird wearing a Jungle Camou in a temperate setting. -

things to take note before u sew on the tag. unwanted ends on the left and right should be tucked in before sewing, so that it is of the same width as the pocket. and make sure the wording is aligned at the centre above the pocket.

I still think it will be nicer if instead of the word "singapore"
we have a Patch with Army Crest and smaller letters Republic of Singapore Army"
And sewn on the pocket. -

US Army can be short for United States Army.
it would be ok if it says RSN or RSAF.
But we never used the term RSA (republic of singapore army)
otherwise.... RS Army wouldn't be too bad if we were used to it.
or SAF-Army like indonesia's TNI-AD -

I'm not surprise. Its time to have some National and Division/Formation/Unit Identity.

Hmmm..... I was thinking, the vocation tabs a little dangerous leh. For example, would u want to go around announcing that u are elite trooper, wat if kana POW, gd luck to u lor. Secondly, I think SAF is reverting to the old uniform style, in which the ppls where the Division tabs. Wonder wat the 21 DIV ppls will wear.
