What do regulars do after retirement?

What do you guys know about what regulars do after they retire?
There's a few times when I wear number 4 and take taxi, the uncles will just say he was RSM or CSM of some SIR or GDS last time. And the famous quote is, "Now life so much better, last time.... bla bla bla"
I know an Army colonel who set up a gift shop and doesn't even retain that COL look.
Some of them retire and take up advisory DXO positions.
And some as OO of course.
Do you guys have other stories? -
It's quite sad.
The only skills the army equips you with are those enough to drive a cab when you leave the service.
What happened to all the knowledge about high tech cutting edge technology that these regulars have that is currently being highlighted in the media non stop for the past few weeks?

most regulars got involved in multi-level marketing stuff (even though considered illegal income if still serving in SAF) most the ppl i knowdrive cabs

one of my Section ICs, a MSG, retired to run a provision shop. He was a really nice , genial chap.

Anyway, i think the head of a CCO is not a CO. They just call it Camp Commandant.
CCO Tekong is some indian i think. But his rank was omitted, in the picture he was named "Mr.... something". -

it will be funny his men ride motorcycle then he pump petrol. haha. -

I knew of one who was posted to some ST warehouse department and still try to use his army style disciplinary actions to run the place.No wonder his subordinates do not like him.

last time there was a pension or an amount of sum which would be given to the person once he retires . So i think they don't really need to do anything after retirement , maybe do part time insurance or housing sales.
If you are a crappy RSM or CSM , even a hawker whom you tekan last time and recognise you will also put laxatives into your food.. -

Don't forget that when you retire , you will effectively be weaker then fresh university graduates.
They are faster , equipped in a knowledge based economy , efficient ..even 45 year old officers who have a degree from nantah university don't even have IT based learning , how to compare? with 0 years of relevant working experience
The only thing you will learn related to your job is probably office politics -

Why i thought CCO Nee Soon don't exist because I read in Army News about this ceremony CCO nee soon hand over to SOCE.
What's the diff between SOCE and ETI? Still the same thign essentially right? -

CCO Nee Soon was formerly under HQSCE. although i did heard news that CCONS is going to be handed over to SOCE when i was still around. now i i have left, i can't comfirm anything.
lastly, ETI consist of the old SOCE, DETC and AETC. -
That is one of the greatest problems with having a career in the SAF.
There is just not industry recognition of skills learnt in the army. Even the Army driving licence is not equivalent to a civillian licence! Absolutely disgraceful. I know the problem though: SAF training is watered down to fit the demands of a conscript army. There is seldom anyone who fails an army course (Except Lazerlord's course mate who i gather failed spectacularly).
The worst vocation is infantry. there is no need in the civillian world for someone who can hump a heavy load over long distances (The bangaldeshis and Chinese work for much much less) and who can dig (ditto) and who can shoot and things and blow things up (criminal offences in the civillian world). This is a problem facing infantry all over the world, but the SAF infantryman has it worse because of the watered down training and the lack of operational experience. The only civvy qualification I got out of the army was some CPR cert. And considering the quality of training I received, I am not going to put myself in a position to be sued for negligence!
Back to topic: I once met a taxi driver who told me he was ex-SOF. Dunno if he is just a walter mitty type of character but he told me something that I think rings true: That many people think the overseas ranger course is damn prestigious when in fact overseas trainees cannot fail the course unless they get injured, etc.
Also met another ex-capt taxi driver. He din say much though.
