  even if it is counted,10k fall under the tax bracket of $1-20k income per year and tax rate for that is 0%.

  Hanor hanor, unless your pay exceeds 22k per annum, then you hit the first income tax bracket.

  if u get the nsf to pay tax, imagine the uproar! already they r complaining it is pithy! in any case, they do not get cpf contributions cos these are allowances they are getting, so no tax for them. their status is that of doing the nation a service, so the nation of cos wont tax them.
