Officers that you salute from the bottom of your heart ?

in my unit i see officers that i truly salute from the bottom of the heart i do see they really care for the men under their charge, dont pull ranks on the men(privates etc) when talking to them unless absolutely necessary.
my pc, oc and co are such ppl. -

for me,only one such officer during my NS stint deserved mine.
Was my BMT pc who is able to lead what he expect of his men by living up to the same and actually better standard as well,also does not pull rank like all other officers i have seen does. -

yes my platoon pc is one,the one who will scold his men outfield during flanking walk if they fall down,saying stuff like ccb,why you fall down as if the person actually wanted to.He was also the one who needed our OC to reduce his 2.4 km run by 30 seconds to get the gold award (how we knew?cos he retook his IPPT attempt to get gold and we had someone timed him and he actually fall short of 30 seconds) which 85% of the company men is able to do so without cheating.Originally posted by Marco_Simone:Have you actually encountered commanders who actually singgered at their men for various reasons? -

yes he got away with it cos our RSM insisted that every company get 90% gold award for IPPT and to make up for the numbers,his was changed after repeated attempts at gold and failed.Originally posted by Master -_-:30s is alot and he got away with it? -

I(from HQ coy) was part of the advance party together with some sect coms and excuse/light duties PTEs(both from coy line)
The men were filling up sandbags and carrying them to the firing area.The SGTs just stood around and talked co-ck/cracked jokes and laughed(at the sand area)while their men were hard at work filling and carrying the heavy sandbags.I also helped out.
I felt damm pissed,so I gave them a piece of my mind:"hey SGTs,your men working so hard yet you standing there enjoying yourself,can help a bit?"
They looked so stunned.Some of them diao3 me a bit,eventually none of them helped their men and walked away.They went to the training shed to read FHM...

RSM also want to show good result to CO mah so he very insistent loh,that unless the company get 90% gold,he will specifically ask those who fail to retake and retake again.
