Clothes washing during BMT...

Hi guys, I'll be enlisting on 7th April... Just question for you all, especially those who are currently in BMTC or have just POP... Do they have washing machine in Tekong or do you all do manual (hand) washing of your clothes?? Cos I dunno whether I should bring detergent/washing powder or Fab bar when I enlist...

My advice, buy extra No.4s. Then weekend then bring back home wash. Washing clothes in BMT is like wasting time, must wait for washing machine and no time to monitor it, then if u wash with ur friends, confirm smelly one plus u dunno who's who, especially socks, trousers, underwear, etc.

for the whole week i wear only 2 set of no.4. 1 set for lunch and booking out. the other set for chiong suah. after route march, SOC just hang the sweaty no.4 outside to dry. next day wear again. hey, they don't call us chao recruits for nothing. -

i no need to wash because i never perspire
while everyone was running till their pt-kits got so wet, i just hung mine back in the cupboard because it was totally dry -
The ORIGINAL grand plan was BMTC is supposed to have washing machine and BMTC is designed to have a washing bay for all the machines in every company.
But thanks to our "pioneer" batch and subsequent early ones.
Lazy to wash, put everything inside. SBO, helmet, PT shoes, very muddy No 4.
Washing machine obviously cannot tahan such load mah. So in around 2000-2001. The contractor gave up repairing and just withdrew all machines.
To the threadstarter --> bring some detergent, how you wash your laundry depends on your bunk. If you are 2nd floor, you are in a bad/good luck.
Good luck, you are above radiators and laundry dry within 3-4 hours. But bad luck, inconsiderate recruits above you will spit or hang wet laundry that will keep wetting your laundry. -
yes, there are washing machines...but i think no recruit uses it...haha
anyway, dun relli need to wash clothes if u book out every weekend.
Only time which u seriously need to wash is during 1st 2 weeks confinement and after field camp..bring lots of nice smelling liquid detergent! Better than powder ones IMO -

02/06 direct enhanced batch.
bmtc currently dun have washing machines for recruits so it's either u wash manually or u bring home during weekends to wash.
only officers and specialists get to use the washing machines.
i recommend that u juz bring some detergent/washing powder when u enlist for the confinement period. after confinement period every weekend bring home wash, cos being direct enhanced batch, ur training will be packed like sardines, gd thing is ur time spent in bmtc will be less than 2 mths 1 week! -
