CMC where got time for route march....the paramedic phase already take up so much time. Last time have 2 field camp now i think only one.Originally posted by Rockhound:Combat medic course aint no joke..
they got route march..but the content of the field pack is laughable....hehe
SOC is called MOC...or medic obstacle course....up to the instructors discretion....there are several stations (varying distances depending on ure chief instructor)....IV..CPR....bandaging of wounds...burns...amputations..fractures...crossing of obstacles...all this with an 80kg dummy on a stretcher..u'd get mentally wasted..if u go to the BSLC Spec II course...u practically run with the stretcher...no walking...its all abt team work...MOC if spiced up is mentally and intellectually demanding as u have to remember lots of stuffs u learn...
to me....i never went thru CMC but i went thru the SPEC II course...wat kills u is the material u gotta study.....1st few weeks u'd be like har???har??har??...by end of course..u got ure own medical lingo
now no field camp....the previous batch had 1 or 2 route marches and no field campOriginally posted by tarutaru:CMC where got time for route march....the paramedic phase already take up so much time. Last time have 2 field camp now i think only one.
U forgot about the 2km Mask RunOriginally posted by G.I. Lim:Confinement? No dun think so...
Stay in? yeah but usually it's wake up at 0530, eat, area cleaning then the lessons more on theory. Take Note: as a trainee though u'll must expect nothing but shit
Not supposed to bring in mp3 player, camera phones, etc... well just remember the SAF no. 1 golden rule.
CFT is the combat fitness test. Which u will take just before u pass out from your trainee phase, and earn the CBRD badge. It's a 4km route march as you're donned in MOPP4 then a morale theory test
Enjoy!!!

any time limit for both?Originally posted by ripzy:U forgot about the 2km Mask Run![]()
what role does the CBRD play exactly? they are not the MRF right? so what are their peacetime and wartime functions?Originally posted by ripzy:Welcome to 39 Battalion Singapore Combat Engineers aka Chemical Biological Radiological Defence! You will be posted to Alpha Company for 15 weeks of CBRD Pioneer Course.
Most of the time u will be wearing protective suits, having games and sports with gas mask and lots of equipment handling. As for other activities, u will get to know more during your course.
Training will be tough but with the additional CBRE allowance u get, it is something that will motivate you. I enjoyed my commander course there, so will you![]()
