hmmmmm..... I'm not from the navy, but I was from guards and I have some experience training with them. Basically they operate those all metal type, coastal, naval insertion craft. The FCEP aka Fast craft equipment personnel is this vessel that can take about a platoon size of soldier. The FCU is slightly larger, can carry abt a platoon size and 1 rover and some other supplies and stuffs. The FCU and FCEP is veri bumpy and rough ride, even on gentle and sunny days. In fact, one of my company mate puke when he reached the shores. At times when u r going head on with a huge wave, the ppls in size will be super drenched. I think both is manned by abt 3 to 4 sailors. Lastly, is the RPL. It is the largest, with ability to carry 4 loaded rovers or light strike and can still carry abt 1+ company size of men. My memory of it is that the ride is pretty smooth compared to the rest. I think it needs abt 8 or 10 sailors to man it. On the whole, be prepared to be roasted under the hot sun as there is no shade at all. I think u will be responsible for ferrying supplies, for example the ops at Melabouh, and assisting naval insertion ops.
