Guards Day 2006

  So is anyone heading down to Bedok Camp for the event tomorrow? Curious to know what's the program like...

  Guards day is celebrated by running.
  
  inviting other units to run along.
  
  and then a inter-company/unit friendly matches.
  
  i rather go home.

  army is like that 1 what. every major or minor event is either celebrated by parade or running.

  Reminds me of the Mac run with the last batch of 2 guards, you dun see red guards singlet no more.

  i know...3 GDS guys kept shouting ORD lol...but they have not gone for ATEC yet right?
  
  Could see some rivalry between the two Guards units...some guys from 3 kept disturbing the guys from 1 during the war cry competition that they had not earned their beret and tab yet. The 1 GDS guys are future Guardsmen also what, the guys from 3 should have encouraged them instead of putting them down. Could see the commanders from both sides trying hard to to do damage control lol. Lucky my unit neutral lol.
  
  Btw 1 Guards nearly swept champions in all the events arh...congrats to them. The breakdancing by the 3 GDS guys was awesome too. And there were some chio navy girls! But they really shouldn't have put in the aerobics lah. Formation RSM asked us whether we could do some Aikido throws on the aerobics leaders LOL. Nice guy btw. I didn't he was FSM until AFTER the whole event..

  All hell will break loose if they throw in another old bird Guards reservist unit, all uncle level, that will be fun!

  Gone are the days when all 3 guards battalions are active. Anyone from the time when they had all 3 battalions and bridage HQ during such events?
