BMT Out of COURSE!!

Kenah stressed induced hairline fractures on both my shins. Specialist say at least 3 months recovery period. So what happens to me now? What does out of course exactly mean? It's not a permanent injury, so will i be downgraded?
Really need some useful advice and answers. SO depressing! I WANT TO STAY WITH MY PLATOON!!!

You will be liable for bmt recourse again.
Might be downgraded.
For now,its sai kang for u until u kanna post out.
Most prob is clerk,storeman,driver,rp.... -
Congrats! U're prolly gonna stay as storeman, clerk or driver thruout ns life.

So i will be pulled out of all training......still go to camp simply to sai kang. Get posted out to be a clerk...and THEN when i am all healed up...go back to recourse BMT???!!!!!
OMG! I might as well break my own leg lor! Sian.....just when i gel with my platoon liaoz...... and just when i'm supposed to be going for live firing. I really must be having bad karma................ -

It's not official yet leh. I still at home. I booking in on sun. So very sian. My friends that ORD already tells me that i very likely to recourse BMT after the 3 mths of recovery. If you confirmed cannot continue with the BMT, you will be posted out to unit with vocation first. Then when the time is right, they will call you back for BMT again - all over again.Originally posted by tyco_mun:

PC will listen to MO only..you can tried, chances slim. PC cannot answer to BOI if anything happened to you during the course of training.
Recourse maybe at the end of your service, and then your reservist will be combat again..
Don't think of "Pai ka" "Pai Chew" - silly. Long way to go in life. Down grading -temporary maybe, permanent may be difficult especially these days. -
Depends on how serious the stress fractures are tho. If its only hairline, it can be largely ignored... tho you will feel some pain squatting on toes.
And contact with that area will be a lil painful. Wearing some form of shin guard or ankle brace shud help. If I am not wrong ur pain should be coming from the lower 1/3 of ur tibia.
Its a common sports injury. Best course of action is of course (no pun intended) rest it. But naturally, the MO and PC woudl cover their backside and OOT u. -
dun play with injuries. i know u are on, but dun on until next time when u are older and u have difficultity walking then u realise that OOC is actually better for you.
anyway life as OOC is super song. by the time u recourse, u'd probably be a corporal and the 3SGs there are probably greener than u are, so you can rest assure that ur life there wont be tough. -
OK ok....thanks for everyone's advice. Did lots of thinking last night, and yar, risking further injury is just not worth it. NS is just NS. I guess so many guys dream to have 8-5 NS life and can't get it......while now i am 'lucky' enough to get a slack life, so must appreciate it.

Injuries are not something you should play with.By the time you've healed, chances are that at least half a year would have passed, and your recourse would be nearly a year's time.
By that time, you should already be a vocationalist, probably support arms, and a CPL.Not only that, if you have been downgraded, your recourse would be a PES C recourse and that is quite easy and relaxed. -

u just have to look beyond army days...some injuries plague u until u die...

recourse pre-requisite now are very blur.
Most ppl who attended some form of BMT might not need to recoruse if their vocation warrants them to.
most cases are now you serve most of your NS then you go back recourse just before you clear leave for ORD.
But you may be earlier if your unit will want to let you go recourse earlier.
PLEASE take note that you are not guaranteed a recoruse in BMTC.
Some units are known to attach you to mono-intake BMT. -
OOT liaoz..... 2 months recovery period. Not permenantly downgraded. Now just waiting for posting out. All the officers telling me that i will definately recourse, since i will still be retaining PES B status. But i have accepted the fact that i will recourse at the end of my NS, although my OC said he'll "try to do something" about recourse earlier. To my understanding, i will be joining a RECOURSE BMT, specially designed for OOT personnel like me.
Anyways, thank you everyone for advice, it really helped cos it kinda gave me the head's up on what might happen to me, and LOWERED my expectations greatly, so i was not extremely depressed that all this crap is happening to me.
For the few thinking of OOT.......PLEASE DON'T!! U'll rather do 10 AGR's than live a useless, ghostly life of an OOT........ -
actually if u really on type u would of course wanna go thru again... but if u can recourse near e end of ur NS days den lagi best... go there simply tuang all e way!
