How to shine your boots the best?

Ok, firstly wad boots are you talking about? Police boots? Army boots? SCDF boots?
I can only help if it's Police boots or Army boots. I ahve no experience in polishing SCDF boots.
Now, for army boots, once you get it - Brand new - Those leather one, I use my KIWI brand brush( can use any type of brush with hard nylon brittles ) and apply a thin layer of black kiwi around the whole boot. Slowly working my way around the boot, I will use the brush and brush in circular movement until you get a small shine, after that move on to the next area. For the first time, do polish THE WHOLE BOOT, parts include the boot tongue, areas around the lace holes and the top part where there is the cushion area. You can then polish the other parts of the boots which you feel needs more shine. After the process, you will have a little shine on your boot( compare with the other unpolished boot ). If you want a higher shine, use a cotton cloth ( Shoe polish cloth ) and put alittle kiwi on the cloth, put a LITTLE water on the cloth too. Too much water will damp your cloth and the result will be bad. Then polish in circular movement with a LITTLE strength. DO NOT USE FULL STENGTH.
This is the method I use to polish my army boots to a very high shine( Until can shine like mirror ). Oops, I for got to tell you, to get a high shine, you will need to use beeswax. IF you need to polish till high shine, tell me, I will teach you and post again later! -
i used orange cloth and kiwi to polish. used the merry-go-round skill for my no3 shoes. once my encik even ask me to help him polish

i'm always amazed on how the SAF band people shine their shoes until so shinny.

I think they only use them for performance. The last time I saw them they were wearing standard No.3 leather shoes.

Used to be those plastic types made by Bates, recently a local contractor took over. Yup, plastic alright, just need to use water wipe over it to remove dust. this was how i did mine...
satu)apply a layer of kiwi on your boots evenly...
dua)let it dry...
tiga)use cotton wool to dip in water totally...and then squeeze out all the water...
ampah)wipe the wet cotton wool with kiwi and patiently go round and round with your boots...and add drops of water onto your boots occasionally...
lima) use instant liquid kiwi to kiwi other parts of the boots except the tongue...

nope...i dun use alot of water...i squeeze out the water in the cotton wool...plus add only drops of water on the boots then start rounding...

To get mirror shine boots u need months n months of hard work... short cut way will damage ur boots n crack ur kiwi.
Coat the boot with kiwi layer after layer, initially with brush, later with ur fingers.. yes, really dirty job. The idea is to thicken up the layer of kiwi on the boots. The finger process: Dab kiwi on ur finger, and gently coat it on one small section of the boots in a circular motion. repeat until the whole boot is covered.
once u have a decently thick layer... get a candle or lighter... DUN BURN the boots... apply just enuff heat to melt the kiwi A LITTLE BIT. so that it evens out VERY smoothly.
Finally, take a lint free cloth (EXPENSIVE BUT WORKS), dab a lil water n a little kiwi on it... den gently rub on the blurry areas in circulation motion until u see it shines... repeat until the whole boot is MIRROR SHINE. -
