forging of signatures?

yesterday, i told 1 of my men to return some things to the store & he forged my signature on the return form.
what is the consequences if this matter is found out or i report it up? althought the task is delegated to him, but i hold the responsibility.
but i'm not pleased with him forging my signature just like that.....what should i do? -

btw, the form is an legal document, which can be used in court. why can't some ppl use their brain to think before doing certain things?

Safest way? Report it up to your immediate superior. Your subordinate will get charged for forging your signature. Perhaps you'll get punished for not ensuring that he does the right thing, but you most probably won't get charged (unless your superior is the biggest SOB in the whole of SAF). Maybe a couple of extras or something.
Not exactly a pleasant thought, but it beats the alternative - being exposed during an audit check. -
go back to the store and check that the item he forged your signature for is there and in working condition.
if not next time the item is found faulty, will still trace back to the last drawn user. -

This is what happens when you ask your men to return an item which they did not sign out, and naturally, they would not want to put their name for something they did not draw.
Get back to the store, ensure the item is in working condition,and if you signed it out, and cannot sign it back in for one reason or another, tell your men to sign F.(your name and rank).
Can't have the poor chap bo bian, and then he goes and forge again right?

it is just that i can't stand people doing this things without my knowledge , especially when i'm accountable for them. -
why did u ask him to return the stores then?...i mean...u shld already know as a commander....u got to convey proper instructions. as men they just do wad they are told. for them...when they returned the stores...they were asked to sign the forms before they leave. if not...take back the stores.Originally posted by epImetheus:nothing is wrong.

but you as a commander of all people should know tat since u r accountable for it... u shld be there. its ok if u dun wan to help them carry the stores...but you shld know the stores forms need to be signed and you are suppose to do it. why bother being a commander if u cant do a proper job in relaying ur duty.
in my sense...both of u did a mistake. dun be like most commander and keep blaming ur men. -
Maybe he's doing you a favour?
Imagine it maybe cumbersome for you come over just to put your signature on the doc?
Anyway, it's not necessary to blow up the whole matter but I feel there is a need to let him know the issue and consequences of forging signatures as well to explain your situation to him.
Anyway, u may consider these few options:
1) Next time, ask him to sign in and sign out using his own inital
2) Personally go down to sign in yourself. -

in any case...cheer up ok. i dun think its a big issue. if u r really worried then just go back...get the form and sign it. doesnt matter if got 2 signatures.
but if u r an nsf... dun treat another nsf like dirt. one day...u might need them to help you.

I see alot of people say charge... maybe should give chance lah... who knows someday that favor would be returned... I think a warning or extra duty would suffice... I mean, this world is small, you could face that person another day, be it you need him to donate bone narrow to you or your family, or that he's the banker that you need money desperately to finance your home or something else. What goes around, comes around.

Nobody said it's easy to lead, but surely if u don't want your men to signed for you or forged your signature? You can surely tell your men or call the qm to inform him/ her that you will be signing for it later right. The 3SG issue , as long as the S4 or S3(usually the S3) has signed the form for ammo release, the DO will oblige.
