How to Join Police during NSF?

it's pretty mindless for u to do such silly thing like sending this letter and attaching all those documents.
sure, u can by all means go ahead and do whatever u think is worth a try. i just think that u are very naive to think this actually will work.

Wheres the content? Did u expect us to write it in for u ah?
Ur cert is ok but got anything more robust or not? Like u are president of a club that is outside ur school, etc? I mean ur cert just show ur academic profile, frankly, wat u have ur peers also have. Wats there to stop them to write in exactly of wat u have or even better academic results?
Frankly, for me, I would just call up CMPB and ask. Dun need to waste time, money, ink and save some trees also.

Not say flame u ah but atleast must put in some content right? U already have some ideas or reasons u wan to join the SPF right? So why dun u write it in? K, let me explain how the system works...
Police intakes are usually JC 2nd BMTC intake (march/apr batch) and Poly 1st intake (June/july batch)
Number of recruits transferred to police, usually 30-40 per batch.
How many ppl are transferred to Police is a request by Home Affairs to Mindef.
There are agreemetns on the minimum number Mindef will transfer to Home Affairs and the criteria of ppl that is to be transferred.
In short, you don't really have much you can do to choose your path to police unless you got connection. Another way you can do is sign on police and break contract... so your NSF is served in Police... expensive.
But then, no harm trying to write them a letter... seriously, i dun think the letter will go far. -
I was helped by an MP to appeal change of unit from Police to army. A lady from cmpb called me on 18 April 2006 as a response. She said that "she" is rejecting my application for change in unit from police to army because she "Thinks" im more suitable for police as police need "Combat" person like me for "leaders" despite having excellent records in NCC and schools. All the while thru the conversation, her tone was never serious and she was laughing. I'm refering her to my MP as she is giving me the impression that she is taking my future the easy way and laughing at it like it is some kind of a joke? I am serious on a career with the SAF and she can "think" that im not suitable? I mean who does she think she is to "think"?
