How to request ORD? For regular

I signed on the RSN when I was in poly 6 yrs ago. Then I served 4 yrs as a spec before going for further study 2 yrs ago.
Now that I was still doing my studies, I feel that I do not want to continue a millitary career for long.
Can I still request to ORD on the sixth year? Besides some ppl trying to make things diffcult for me, does any policy deter me from doing so? -
hmm...think after 5 years u can quit the army provided u cant accept the monetary bonuses they will give you after u complete ur term...or something like tat....need ppl from s1 or g1 to answer ur enquiries....

some regulars sign on during school time for the money but when they finish school, they then realise wat they wan n daily routine of ns might not be their cup of tea... happens around...Originally posted by gnoik:Why sign on in the 1st place? just go to S1 ask for early release... at least 3 months b4 your end of 5th year in service.. nowsadays they wont ask so much.. just make sure sure to spend your ENABLE account or you have pay it back

call pershub at 68642022 to confirm your minimum term of engagement. you can leave the service (subject to approval) as long as you had fulfilled your minimum term of engagement. if not, you had to fork out $$$ for the unfilfulled period. they can also tell you how much $$$ is needed if you are to quit at a certain date.
if everything is okay.. you can proceed to get the early-withdrawal form and request an interview from your unit and squadron commander to have them "endorse" the form. if everything goes smoothly.. you should be out of the service three months from the date of submission of the form to pershub.
disclaimer: this is the method widely spread around in the rsn. never tried b4 but had seen a great deal of people leaving successfully over the past years. -

My contract was actually 6 yrs, but I opt in PP1 cos they say can go out at 6 yrs anyway. Just that no gratuity. -

I heard last time when u request 5th yr ord, they tu2 until almost yr 6 or even after 6.
Unless u meet good guys, else very difficult. -
i had heard the same story too but it seems that the rsn are dying to kick people out these days to save cost or something. i don't know. infact, i am not aware of any such cases (dragging till 6th year) for at least the past six years. when you accept your 1sg promotion, you will be signing an acknowledgement form that you will remains in service for another year and since you usually got your 1sg on your 5th year of service.. thus the earliest you can ord is the end of your 6th year service.Originally posted by Einstein99:Why must reject promotion?

have interview with the person in charge of regulars in the career planning section lor. at least that's wat they do for 9div i think.

but... u sure ur contract is six yr? i tot long ago RSN already implement 10 yrs contract?
