PES C recourse, irrelevant and waste of time?

What is your point of view on this?
Considering now that NS has been reduced to 2 years already. Is it relevant and significant to still has PES C recourse?
furthermore if recruits nowadays can POP without passing BMT. i don't see why PES C people be put through this after 2 years when they are nearing their ORD.
adding on, during their 1 month+ in tekong, most of them will probably be excused a lot of thing and most of the time will be spent slacking anyway. isn't it better that they spent the time back at their own unit doing their normal duties instead?

i agree wif u.
they can be better utilised to perform admin duties rather then recourse. mindef got tonnes of administrative works can be left to them.
dun talk abt Pes C lah. I myself Pes A already ORD for 6 six years. Only call up for ICT once nia. someone is just 1 week only. administrative hiccups? then can delegate to these Pes C guys mah. -

isn't it weird seeing a lao jiao PES C 3SG been taught by a newbie platoon sergeant or sec com? The lao jiao PES C 3SG probably is older and will have seen more know more stuff than the PS/sec com.

there are regular older SISPEC specialists went for OCS, and their sect commanders are newbie younger commissioned 2LT. also LL. -
PES C pple recourse le also no use. They are still not combat fit.

Hey, it's fun telling your PS how to PROPERLY clean the rifle, and also tell them that all the things they did with the 120mm mortar in SISPEC, were wrong. Fun to see jaws drop and getting a free kopi in response.
Not to mention having a great spec's night out at the mess, drinks all round.And we smuggled the other ranks in too. -
Actually, all the specs ended up swapping tales about storemen who seemed to itching for charge.The service specs complained about their drivers and storemen, and the roving instructors complained about their mono-intake men and yet at the end, they praise them for being better soldiers than some of the sect comds could ever be.
Chain o' command? Nah. Lao jiao factor here is more important. -

lol. i agree recourse for pes c is a waste of time. my fren currently in recourse. den excused stay in. everyday after dinner go home. next morning by 745 must reach coy line. not very difficult for him since he stay east. he complain everyday go back slp and attend lessons nia. when he not around, his section cannot survive w/o his expertise, so his section head called his coy OC and allow him to come back unit for 1 week. so funny sia.

For units that is under-manned then recourse for its soldiers is totally waste of time, the soldier's contribution to the unit out-weight the recourse value.
However, if the soldier eng eng cheng cheng, everyday lagi tea break got time to eat and pa game then go ahead. -

laserlord: nope, my fren is in public affairs section. in charge of alot of publicity things. and he the most laojiao. knows how to handle alot of programs for pic and vid editing. and my unit/camp in charge of saf parade this year. so need his help.
duotiga83: i completed bmt with a dislocated shoulder. i nv did range, but passed the IA tests and stripping and assembling of rifle. counted as can handle? -
