Introducing the RSN's Sea Soldiers

Introducing the Sea Soldiers. No longer will they be known as RPs or army vocationists serving in a naval base, they are now officially known as a new vocation in the RSN.
They are
- infantry trained
- basic shipmanship trained
- little bit EOD trained
- little bit CBRE trained
- POI trained plus rules of engagements etc
they are also getting $150 for combat pay too.

MP or RP B status vocaton changed to Infantry soldier when posted to their
reservist unit. -
They are located in both CDS (Changi Defence Squadron) & TDS (Tuas Defence Squadron).

just hope that they don't get arrowed to do all those sai kang like what regular RPs do.

Hmmmm....
I'm not a sea soldier, but all I can say is, they are almost similar to a RP....
The job is almost same...
Exception is they do operate RHIBS to provide sea security for the bases...
Not sure whether they are boarding trained....
But nowadays, may ppls claimed to be boardings trained...
But I cant say the standard is not there....
The Sea Soldiers aren't tasked for Boardings....
There are other units tasked for it...
But nontheless, the Master of these trades are still the NDU and SOF...
U can ask me why I know if I'm not one of them as I'm not a bird or a grasshopper...

I am a Sea Soldier =)
Basically its roughly the same job scope as RP, just that the training is 3mths and not 3weeks....quite alot of physical...AGR, SOC, Swimming, etc
Yes, we does alot of sai kang....cause navy has no other NSFs except us liao...
