  Why not, it can be easily tucked into the shirt. Unless of course the wearer is trying to show-off or something, that's a different story.

  Now if I was going around with the normal silver wings pinned on my civilian shirt I'd look like a real dork, but as Obersturmfuhrer said, it tucks in neatly under a shirt, so I really don't see what the problem is.

  Yeah, I'd seen the WG ones on my last trip back to SG - I actually prefer that one, but they weren't available during my time.

  If I am not wrong, only the regulars can apply to go for airborne course. Not every NSF can get to jump unless they are CDO.

  When I ORDed, the norm was still the regulars going for it only. With exception of the NSFs from CDO.

  First, it's an Airborne wing, not a Commando wing. The emblems of the Commando Battalion and SOF both have wings as well, but they are different from the one on the pendant.
  
  Second, Airborne's not really that hard. It's practically as easy as falling out of an airplane.
  
  Third, any clerk or storeman working in the formation would know Hendon Camp inside out - it doesn't mean much.
  
  Fourth, what's anybody going to be able to show of the camp while driving past? If he really is one of the guys, he'll have no trouble bringing you in for an tour, escorted by one of the serving personnel.
  
  Fifth, you'll be surprised how many people out there pretend to be from Force Line.
  
  Last, if he's a Guardsman, he's a Guardsman. That job's tough enough, and there really isn't any reason that he should pretend to be anything else.
  

  Nice to hear a commando giving the guards due respect. Good on your Ged.

  Well, we do have to be objective here. Besides, being professional is what a soldier needs to take pride in, more so than what unit he comes from.
