Some people, especially females, males who haven't done NS yet, and the older male folks of singapore, think that NS men means guys who are currently serving their 2 years of NS (aka NSFs..).. although NS men actually means ORD personnels; who r liable for reservist training.

not only them, the media also sometimes refer NSFs as NSmen. Like Taufik last time, the papers/magazines always refer him as NSmen.

and for these poeple, since it doesn't concern them, they can't be bothered to know ... -

and the chief editors don't seem to be critical of such errors.. -

Some of my peers who are still in the service refers to NSFs as "NS boys"... Hmm.. those who completed NSF, are known as "NS men"...
Now, old uncles like myself who have completed the NS liabilities, who are in the MINDEF Reserve (MR) are known as Mister d3rF, or "Mr. d3rF".

then nsf dunno what abbreviation it is, no direct link one
