Well, forgive me for saying this. But as a Nation we are not yet able nor willing to accept deaths of servicemen in training and definitely much less in conflict. So in my opinion, if SAF is sent in, they will go there to pick up empty cartridges and pick up dead bodies. So far have never read/heard about an incident where our boys actually get shot at and return fire killing or wounding.
So yeah...we will only go in when the dust settles to pick up the empty cartridges and dead bodies. -

anyway, best not to speculate too much on who's going lah, IF anyone's going at all. And believe me, any mention of alpha delta foxtrot nowadays will set alarm bells ringing faster than shit draws flies... -

u have a point there. It's normal to associate certain people with certain tasks, but at this point of time, best not to discuss about them too deeply. Speculation leads to curiosity, and you know what they say about curiosity...

yup, at most send soldiers there to protect installations or buildings or embassy.
We Sg soldiers are not those killers like Aus, US, etc....we are helpers...providing medics, etc.

We are trained to protect the civilian and their important building and alway logistic etc..I think may have chance to perform this time. -

On the ground, no one is given the "no die" medal. However, I do know that our staff officers are very talented..They also have good plan that will minimise casualties to the minimum.
You think our government will take you for grant..I definitely say no. However, it should be one of sacred duties to protect minimum the civilians in the country since they are considered one of our allies. -

army. You are very right about it. We can handle both day and night warfare like US. So this is the best chances to let our general or officers to gain real experience. Those experienced officers definitely can be our future Minister for Defence. They are definitely qualified with those real battle experience they have compared to others that never experienced real battle, right. -
