u miss out another 1, elite STAR from SPF also trains in divingOriginally posted by erijazz:Normally, only servicemen by vocation requirement attend the Basic/Advance Diver Course such as SOF, CDO, NDU and EOD. As for regular servicemen in the Army who attend the Basic Diver Course, it only narrow for officers who need to clear his confident course but due to certain reasons, they are unable to go for either Ranger, Jungle Confidence or Basic Airborne...

Originally posted by tyco_mun:Ok ok....i thought there are 2 types of diver's badges. One is the super xiong NDU one, and the other is a simple normal Diver Badge. Wat's the diff between them anyways? And NCC can take but NSF cannot? That's just weird......

dear friend,Originally posted by alwaysdisturbed:is it true u can put it on if u r a certified (nt by the army) rescue diver?
the left side one is for any SAF personnal who wish to attend the basic diving cource in NDU, pls remember, these couse will last from 17- 21 days... and basically, its like those normal commercial diving course, not really have physical training. most of the time, alot of official will tend to go for this course. as i think its shorter and its just like a CONFIDENT course to them.Originally posted by Gordonator:

on the right, its the naval professional diver badge. its mainly for diver who have gone through the 36 weeks of diver training. this will include the hell week as well. therefor, only diver with this badges have gone through the class 1 and 2 training and been to hell week.
on top of this, the backing will shown the states of the diver's by right, those 'alive' or still active diver will have a blue colour backing, i think this goes for cdo airborn badge as well
thats what i'm looking for. thanks a lot!Originally posted by NDU:dear friend,
sorry you cant even if you r a dive master, diver instructor or etc... you still cant.
Naval Diver badges are only meant for any SAF personnal whom ve completed the class 1 and class 2 diver course. pls remember this, we are toking about combat diver so.... without undergoing any proper tranning from the unit, you are not allow to convert those cert to diver badge.
cheers
