Questions regarding converting to officer

Hi... Im a regular specialist and im considering about converting to officer, hope some of you could help me clear my doubts
I have gone through SISPEC, 25 years of age. Airforce
1) Which term do i have to go through and which i do not need to?
2) Will my current specialist pay be reduced once i train as a cadet?
3) Overview of what its like in OCS, any exercises which i have to particpate?
Hopefully someone who have converted before could provide me the answers

yes. ur pay will b adjusted to a cadet's pay.. tats y my 2SG fren decided not to convert at last..

be careful of the "glass ceiling" at the end of the day though ....
btw ... I heard that warrant officers of a certain rank can convert to major or something, is that true ? .... remembered a chat with a lao jiao lau chek last time ... senior warrant ..... -
Better to remain as a WO and push for MWO or SWO.

Unless you r a scholar...then go for officer...if not forget it....

actually convert better, coz it command more authority. It will take u years b4 u even hit warrant. N hor when u are warrant, u wan to be under the charge of some young punk and call them sir?

Have personally seen en Encik, 2WO, who gave an LTA a good one. The LTA also stand down there lan lan, let the 2WO f**k...sometimes its not the rank, but the knowledge. but the case is rather rare, most of the time is the OC who scold Wo the other time round.
U can say men ranging from sergeants to Rec respect Wo more as they are lao jiao but when when WO and LTA gave instruction, u tink they will listen to who? -
but the ultimate question for urself is, u prefer more money or more face. Coz since u are nt high scholar, i tink the highest officer rank for most is Maj, usually they tiao at CPT for a long long time. somemore retired at 45 rite where specs retired at 55.
But then again when u r a spec is best u go attend as much course as possible and get more medals to achieve higher rank, or u forever stuck at SSG and MSG for a long long time b4 to 2WO. 1WO and abv quite hard lor -
I heard from somewhere that the corrosponding rank for WO and officers goes thus
2WO to 2LT
1WO to LTA
MWO to CPT
SWO to MAJ
is that true ? ....
I haven't seen WOs fucking officers before ... but I definitely have seen NS log officers quarreling with combat side WOs ...
lau jiao warrant officers are certainly nice to talk to .... crack open a tiger for them and you'll get all sorts of stories ...

In theory yes, but in practice no.

heard it before too, SWO convert to MAJ. but think most won't want to convert since as a SWO, he probably a Formation RSM and the pay will be very high. by converting he must be prepared to take a lesser paycheck.Originally posted by Fatum:btw ... When SWO convert to Maj, it means he wan to ORD immediately. Coz when u hit SWO u are already in late 40s for most.
