Yup. Personally, I don't care about them mucking about with the LRI. Our core role involves destroying things, not bringing back all our gear in pristine condition.
The IPPT issue, on the other hand, was embarrassing. In my day, if a guy didn't get a full score, the other guys would kick his arse till he did, and I'm disappointed that this particular tradition was not maintained. On that count alone, the unit should have been taken out of the running for BCU. -

No kid, that's straight up. Two of us once kept a Guards company pinned down for an afternoon, and we had an umpire next to us watching and making sure everything was kosher. Like I said, spit-and-polish issues such as paperwork aren't a big part of the unit's ethos. Kicking ass, on the other hand, is. -

tat yr 2002 when i enlist into 40 sar, theres 1 big banner statin 40 sar best combat unit.....
