Just remember dragging the duffel bag full of equipment all the way from the old Tekong jetty to the old Camp 1...the bunks had zinc roof in those days..and spending the night polishing boots (they removed the need to polish boots later)..

the first thing i told my mum when first reach tekong was.... wow...look like bintan huh...i was expecting worse too... but i could adapt immediately to the surroundings. maybe its becos i have nice sgts taking care of me and the platoon...

I dun see the big deal. Had some classmates sharing the same bunk so eliminated the initial loneliness. Just felt like the iron grilled doors just clanged shut for the next 3 weeks when my family left. Short of that, life became quite interesting, and fun, after that. Considering my bunkmates were all quite on and got along very well together.

I only know early in the moring i took cab n head straight to Pasir Ris Interchange n proceed to Tekong liao.....
Can see a couple of pretty girls during the journey........hiakz...
1st day nothing much....collect stuffs, pack stuffs, lectures.....simple simple....
Day 2 onwards was hell liao....early in the morning, go field n knock it down a few hundreds liao....nbz....
