erm...not that.Originally posted by Icemoon:'cos you have no rank on the sleeve anyway.
That is the problem with adopting drills into areas totally unsuitable for them.Originally posted by wuming78:even today i abide by the 4 finger rule. its not called "smart" 4 for nothing. it has to look smart.
the correct practises should be drilled in right from the start so the fundamentals are there. hence recruits are taught this.
i dont understand this - why does it make any difference if one is thin? and if that is the case, then for thin persons, how should the smart 4 be folded?Originally posted by lwflee:Many lanky and thin singaporeans look absolutely ridiculous when they use the 4 finger rule. They look scruffy and untidy because the sleeves are rolled to high up their arms. Sure, it might look good if you have 'normal' well proportioned arms. But like I said, many recruits look positively shabby.
ah lau u officer ah?Originally posted by laurence82:i got rank on shoulder still can fold smart four
just get the rank at the right position and fold the right way
aiyah.. long 4 still best.Originally posted by Master -_-:lucky i wear no.3
personally...i believe it is to motivate the lanky, skinny, thin and weak guys to actually train up and build up muscles in their arms so that they do not look so ridiculous. by making them fold up so high and exposing so much of their weak biceps, this guys will feel awkward and may start training their arms.Originally posted by lwflee:Many lanky and thin singaporeans look absolutely ridiculous when they use the 4 finger rule.
