  Been reposted
  When I went back to Guards after the end of my course at Signals Institute, I quickly learnt that I had been re-posted. To OCS. I was shocked, because going from man to cadet virtually never happens.
  
  Apparently CMPB emailed my BSO (Ku Ren Yu, 1 year my senior from rj), saying that I'd be joining the next batch if I cleared both my IPPT and FFI. The latter of which is going to be real hard.
  
  Underlying it all, however, is whether or not I want to. Shall I abandon abundant physical training and less regimentation for abundant regimentation and less physical training? Shall I allow the minimal pay difference to bribe me into increasing my reservist liability? Shall I abandon the company of guys I know for a fresh set?
  
  But then again, I don't even think I need speculate so far. Clearing the medical seems an insurmountable task for me anyway: I still have the same condition.

  In my batch, there was an Indian guy in my section whose e-posting order stated that his vocation is a medic and he will be attending the course in Nee Soon camp. In fact, when our platoon met up for a gathering nearing the end of the 1 week block leave, he himself told us that his vocation was a medic. He was VERY disappointed as he made no secret that he badly wanted to enter OCS.
  
  However, his vocation changed and he actually went on to OCS and last i heard, he ORDed as a LTA. The Indian's uncle is a COL (some more he is a COL 2, assuming an important position in Mindef.)
  
  Naturally, rumors were flying that his Uncle pulled him to OCS. How true that is, i won't know. But that is definitely one example of a person switching vocation out of the sudden and entering OCS.

  What kind of medical condition does that guy have that might prevent him from entering OCS? If he's considered fit enough to be a Guards signaller I don't see why he can't be an officer. From my experience in NS, I think if you got the brains it's still better to be an officer than to be an enlistee.

  can happen one, thats what happen to a close friend of mine
  
  think they usually do it if they think u can make it in OCS, but when u pass out from BMT, have some temp medical condition, so they let u go some other vocation first, then recall u
