almost got into db b4 , luckily my pc help me , and i ended up with 21 days s.o.l , and luckily for me i get to eat outside food ,read magazines & ciggies on a daily basic . thanks to the drivers !~!~!

There's been a similar thread to this before.
In my time of NS, there were 2 types of convicts there: SUS and DETAINEE. SUS are those for there for serious crimes. We call them Singapore Universal Soldiers cos they super fit. Know anyone who can do 1000 pushups in one go? It took more than 40 minutes, but I made one SUS do it before.
DETAINEE is there for minor crimes (acronym for Don't Enter The Army If Not Enough Experience).
After I ORD, heard there was directive disallowing them to pump themselves up anymore...but dunno whether the directive can be implemented... motivation works in strange ways.
The highest ranking person i've seen sentenced to be was a major. Anyone knows of any other higher ranking officer than a major to go DB? -

It was many years ago but when I visited KDB medical centre there were prisoners being put through some sort of punishment fatigue. They were carrying a backpack filled with bricks and had to do forced march in double quick time under the sun until they collapse. The MO was there to certify if he needed a rest or could go on.

They are examined before they leave DB...only looking for ohysical torture la...everyone will have psychological trauma. Just watching the punishment routine was traumatic for me.Originally posted by Fatum:what about after ? ....

But I guess it works...most of us were so terrified we would rather commit suicide than go to KDB. BUt I heard it's much better nowadays.. -

The major that i saw was charged with espionage. He was there only for a two days of "processing". Dishonorably discharged and also faced criminal charges...didn't follow the case, so dunno if he went to civie jail or not.

as for cavity search, yes, it is SOP for new detainees to check them for contraband. You will be surprised what ppl can hide up their rectums.
Those xia lan or lau lan detainees...we use little/no KY...
There was once this detainee came in and had a Prince Albert....and still got guts to tell me "Sir, like that, gals like ar...very shiok for them!" -
I've only went there once to fetch a newly-released detainee back to camp. One thing I've noticed about those people from my unit who've just been released from DB is that they are all very fair (except for the Indians of course). I wonder whether they are naturally so or it's due to lack of exposure to the sun.
