last time got this fellow with very bad reputation, always got thrown around from 1 department to another. finally ended up in my department. eversince he came, things started missing, money, handphones etc. my money was stolen once, and i know very well it's him.
we can't nail him since we have no proof, just blame it on our bad luck we didn't look after our things well enough with this kind of people around. -

I lost more than 100 dollars of my platoon's welfare and hair-cut funds (still trainees then) from my cupboard once ... went to the loo to take a quick shit, came back and the little ziplock bag of money was gone ... left it unlocked just that once cos the shit was nearly popping out by then ... had to make good for it out of my own allowance .... may the farker who stole it have his kuku rotted away ! ...Originally posted by Gordonator:yes stealing too. i hated that.

Stil small case.
My bunk mate had 4 hps stolen and 2 ps2 stolen.
And yet each time we had no evidence tht it was him.
Damn obvious that it was him but we just had no proof.
Soon after he was posted to another department,our things never went missing again. -

Over a period of two and a half years (ot two these days), it would be unreasonable to expect an entirely good run. I had my fair share of sai kang and morons, but in sum it was a good experience and it's not something I regret doing.
If anything, it's been useful. My line of work (organisational psychology) largely grew out of the US military's recruitment efforts in the two world wars, and as a side effect the processes and practices still reflect a lot of the field's military origins, and it still attracts a lot of ex-military personnel. As a matter of fact, my current boss used to be with the Australian 126 Signals Squadron, which provides support to Australia's SAS regiment and Commando battalions, and it helps my work a lot because we speak a common language. -
overall - no regrets!

After he came,there were still some cases but slowly gone down to zero.

mine has been a very positive experience, and i figured one of the reasons is because i took a positive attitude towards it, despite the occasional fear and stress. a result of my natural disposition perhaps? i guess i was also lucky to have met nice people almost all the way.
but anyway, made some good friends, experienced command and tested myself physically and mentally.
pity i didnt take enuff photos...

NS, a mix of good and the bad.
Quite an eventful NS for me, I made a few close friends, learnt quite a lot about weapon systems, office politics both in camp and with STK.
Enjoyed my recourse quite well, loved going out into the jungle once more for the thrill of it.And the feeling of walking around Tekong as a service sergeant is unmatchable.
Hated two major things, the ineptitude of many senior regulars and the inability of juniors to understand instructions, especially when one mistake causes the whole office to get into trouble.
