hey guys, how is it like to be boarded in presence? how many medical officers wld. be present? how long does it last? where is it held? i'm quite curious...thx

btw most of the board cases are BIA. Just to answer your qns, there will be 3 MO's present, a chairman of board which is usually a Maj and 2 other MO, your unit MO and another. How long it'll last depending on how many people on board and how complicated are the cases, ranging between 2-10 min per case. shit lar. i INSISTED on being boarded in presence...why; i didn't know...just felt like it...my MO told me that it's pointless....shoulder subluxation/ dislocation surely C1L1 perm- no need to go there and cham xiong...but i've since waiting for almost 2 mths, and have not heard when i'm going to be boarded...anyone can tell me the avg. waiting time and what the medical board ppl. will ask me?

Actually depending on the frequency of mb the unit go. By right, waiting time should not be longer than one month. thanks med. officer...haha...eh; what do you ask soldiers during the medical board interview? why is it that med. officers always prefer to pressure soldiers to request to be boarded in absence?

I insisted to be present last time because I did not want to take any chances. It just so happened that I wasn't feeling well that week too, and he gave me 1 day ATT C too, with his signature of HD SPC on it.

wah lau...like tt sitting in front of so many big ppl, my balls surely shrink one...haha...just waiting for the day where i'll be boarded...alrdy 1 mth and no news yet...i'm gonna ord in 3 mths time leh...if they don't board me by the time i ord, how? ord as pes A arr?

I also supposed to be boarded soon. I'm already C1L1 for a dislocated shoulder but I also tore my finger ligament on the same arm. I cannot grip properly. My MO say must board me to downgrade me further. Why does he have to board me? Can't he decide for himself? Why must ask medical board to decide? Medical board how many people? Med. officers here, ex & current pls. reply...Haix.

It still does not answer the pertinent question of why I have to be boarded in presence since you say that most cases are boarded in absence. I would rather not take the trouble to go down to Dieppe Barracks or CMPB. Does my condition warrant a "special" status? haha...

it cld. be coz yours is a peculiar case? my friend with multiple joint problems was downgraded further from his pes c status...but his was an injury to both knees..and a shoulder...i guess...but yours is an injury to the finger and shoulder joint right? IMHO, shldnt' affect your current status by too much, right?
