No leh, I was from 724 Guards. Aniway the RSM is there to inspect ur hair, somust cut and dye black. Trust me they catch regardless of ranks, even the MO was caught!! BTW, it is not worth it to cut hair in the camp, cut a little charge 10 bucks.

Think as long as you in combat unit the answer is yes. No need to polish boots lah, but must make sure they are kiwi'ed black.
Had this buddy who just had an expensive highlight job (he's from the entertainment industry... not to mention the fact that he's a Beng.
), whilst in-processing, RSM spotted his $80 blonde highlights, sent him to the barber to get it all dyed black! -

Also shoes must be devoid of mud, dust, so need to kiwi and ensure that all "seeable" parts are black. -
just came back from my reservist on sat , ok la quite slack
my hair short but still kena ask to cut or not they dont let me in-process
knn my hair so short still tio , den de auntie cut also like f , cut finnish already i go toilet , one side got side burn de other side dont have
den go back to her , ask her to cut
den go back bunk open shirt , below got alot of un cut hair , den lan lan must shave myself , this is wat u get for a 5bucks hair cut . -
that's why i say cut before going back. save yourself all the trouble.

Wait a minute...is this true? The SAF 100A is a legal document. If the unit does not serve you a valid SAF100A you are not subject to military law and they have no right to order you to do anything. The sms is only a notice, it does not carry legal weight. Please be reminded that they will only pay for reservist training or medical board appointment etc., when the SAF100A has been served.
Long ago, my unit tried to play punk and sent out letters instead of SAF100A to get us back for urine test etc. I challenged the legality of that letter and Legal Services admitted it was an illegal document. They have been sending SAF100 since...Has anyone else received such e-sms in lieu of the SAF100A? -
the sms is just to inform you that you have a callup, you still need to go to ns.sg to get/view the saf100 which is in pdf format to print.
