I suspect in Singapore, there's this unofficial policy that requires senior officers to be married as well, just like our members of parliament ....
probably the thinking is that a stable marriage is an indication of mental stability and trustworthiness as well .... I mean seriously, I have never met any senior officers who's not married in the SAF yet ..... have you guys ? ... " not married ? no more crabs ! "...
