Leave ur NCC days behind u. In the army, u are soldier, not a cadet. Ur past achievements in NCC matters not. How u perform, and respond as recruit, soldier, matters a hell lot more. -

yea...clt is not really something to be so proud of...i'm only worried about giving false info to the gahmen which might lead me to any possible trouble...but after all these replies...i think it will be fine with not declaring...

Declare or don't declare is really a minor issue. Just fill up your documents truthfully or don't bother to fill them at all. Either way, it doesn't really affect anything.
The entire purpose of that question is to determine whether you had prior leadership experience in school and to what extent. So what if you're from the NCC? At most you just come out one small point ahead.
For the record, _n00b_, if you're scared of higher expectations, you should never have put on a No. 4 uniform, you should really have been wearing a ballet dress. -
declaring your CCAs might play a mirror factor in deciding where they will post u to after BMT. but not in the sense that u are from NCC or is a CLT they will post u to OCS or what so ever.
like for instance, u put down u are from the school band, they might recommend u to SAF band, or u are from the computer club, is very good in programming and web design, they might post u to be web designer. -

all tt u haf learnt for the few yrs in ncc is onli a small part of bmt. todae's lesson is strip rifle, 2 daes later some of ur peers who just learnt it todae will be able to strip faster and better than u...
if u gg to pia ocs, then u can make use of what u noe to help ur peers, look smart and volunteer ic n stuff...gd on peer appraisal olso...haha...
just to say what u noe can onli give u realli not much advantage, bmt is siong and u need fitness to tahan and sustain to prove ur leadership over ur peers.
dun try to wear any army ncc badge or airborne badge...haha

Wanna wear ur badges, go unit then wear.... But, if ur immediate supervisor nv wear, den i suggest u also dun wear. Unless parade then u wanna wear, then wear.

to declare or not to delcare is up to you. if you're xiao on wanna excel in NSF life, then declare openly. help your bmt mates or whatever in drills, arms handling or whatsoever. if you're from uniform groups during your secondary days, i'd say you do have a share of "xiao on" in you liao. how much of that was brought forward till today, it's up to individual. as a ex-ncc cadet, i admit it did help me sailed thru NS life. for the record, i never declare.
as for airborne or diver (ncc sea) badges, i heard they have to put on once enlisted. not neccessary during training but a must on parade. not very sure about it. -
Fit from NCC doesn't mean Fit for NS .
NS doesn't mean they will charge U for not declaring. Its not Important at all.
