I do not think its a must to wear those badges during normal working days la. even before the implementation, we those see them wearing all the badges they garnered.

SIngapore Ranger and American Ranger are totally different things...
Singapore Ranger is whereby you attended a course to earn that badge. So your vocation still remains.
American ranger is a vocation whereby you attend a course to earn the badge and the vocation.
It's like in Singapore.... Guards is a vocation where you attend the course the be a Guardsman and wear the tab. -
SWO Gunga only wears the US ranger tab, he don't wear the singapore ranger tab.

Actually, the US Ranger tab is more for future leadership roles in the US armed forces.
The US Ranger Regiment requires its members to pass the Ranger Indoctrination Program (RIP) or Ranger Orientation Program (ROP). Once passed, a soldier can wear the army ranger beret and Ranger Scroll/Sleeve Insignia on the uniform. (the Ranger Scroll identifies the solder as a member - ie. "vocation" )
And in order to be in leadership positions, members must also pass the US ranger course as well. Most will do so for long term careers, and you will see both the Ranger Scroll and the Ranger Tab on the uniforms. Hence, the US Ranger tab is not a "vocation" per se, but for leadership requirements, as the school allows members of other units and foreigners to attend.

So how does one get a place in the US ranger course? And is it possible for a guardsmen to become a ranger too?

what is the pathfinder badge for? wat must u do to get it? and i think we r not allowed to mention 21st div any o how.
cuz the other time i send email for my ops wo for some invitation thing, and i mentioned 21st div. he say not allowed to mention in public emails. but since we r talking so freely in here, f it la. haha -
