My hor lan experience in my recent ICT:
We were supposed to do a nighttime quick attack from 12mn to 2am at Marsiling. Distance to objective: 4km.
Instead, we hor-landed like siao and missed the H-Hour by three hours.By the time we reached the objective, it was already 5am. I think we must have walked 10km.
From what I heard, the recce team themselves hor-landed and didn't mark the trail properly. It didn't help that the instructors threatened to call for arty bombardment if we used a certain straightforward route. So the route had to be changed at the last minute.
Maybe 10km for NSFs is nothing... but for us old birds, it's another story altogether.
