Sign On: If Can't Be RSAF Pilot, What Options in RSAF then?

  Hi what are the other options for me if im not selected for Pilot?
  
  can i asked to be transfered to other department related or non-related?
  
  And i want to ask those who are PILOT, do u ever regret your choice?
  
  I heard always pilot are always on standy-by... what is the frequency of reporting back to works per week and what do u do then? Fly the plane?

  officers or specialists?
  the next closest to pilot is WSO
  but wait 1st... which stage of the selection r u in now?
  
  if u haven even step into air force sch n wants to be transferred
  u can reapply the whole application
  
  there r those who regret being a pilot n of cos there r those who didnt
  u have to balance the odds, gd pay & benefits etc... spend time away etc...
  basically lots of time will be spent on training alone
  
  last but not least, it all depends which type of pilot u r.
  fighter? rotary? transport?
  all of their job scopes r different n dun forget abt sending humanitarian aids to our neighbouring countries, that means pilots r activated as well!

  next option.. is go for SIA.
  can visit lot of country and paid is good.
  dun have so many mans under you.
  singapore pilot only got selected country to fly to..
  but SIA... u got the chance to see the world.
  
  singapore pilot got two type .
  rotating winds or fixed winds.
  
  standby is not that common la..
  frequency of reporting to work??
  5 days per week loi..
  unless training for NDP.
  
  Ai yo.. pilot not only fly the plane.
  must know the weather , mission , route, timing...
  load, fuel. any defect on the plane... etc..
  lot of briefing one..
  plus got to do secondary appointment.
