  - Insulation for electrical wires.
  - Waxing of eye brows.. Almost can.. did that on my bunkmate during my NS days.. Hehehehehe..
  - Throw blacktape roll & shout "Grenade!!!!".. when run out of thunderflash.. or now use flashbang isit?
  - Twiddle with the roll when bored, or during walking to objectives..

  Any duct tape/gaffer tape and permanent marker is something always in my SBO.

  anything damaged/broken, just use black tape and its fixed.
  
  patch up holes in ziplock bags
  
  make sure theres no gaps for rain water to go into the ziplock bag containing the comms set.
  
  make items "tactical", aka bloody waste of black tape, by taping the whole ziplock bag and putting stuff inside it.
  
  hold detonator in place so it wont shake, detonate and kill somebody.
  
  mark out helmet so from far also know which helmet is yours.
