How about is tekong really haunted?Originally posted by Rock^Star:Don't worry my friend, u will be fine if u stay positive . You don't have to volunteer yourself for everything but don't siam either.
I slept at 4am on my first night, tossing and turning.....
Some of the thoughts were:
"Will I be shot during live firing?"
"Will I commit suicide? If I can't take it anymore."
"Will I get along with bunk mates?" etc etc
None of them came true hahaha.
Usually after training ,u will be too tired to bother with such things.Originally posted by tarutaru:How about is tekong really haunted?

Dont garang means dont be over enthu n serious rite? Which means for e.g during training dont chiong n aim for top rite n take it easy?Originally posted by mhcampboy:You think your school camp and BMT camps the same har??
Do not worry. I feel nervous and anxious too the first time. You will be ok. Trust me. Just be yourself. Don't act garang too much. Be normal. Be yourself. People can tell whether you wayang or not. And you will certainly bond with your new found friends.
Yes. Garang to aim for the top is ok. Do not garang until people can see you so wayang one. take it easy. it will be ok.Originally posted by borntolive:Dont garang means dont be over enthu n serious rite? Which means for e.g during training dont chiong n aim for top rite n take it easy?

very nice piece of advice. thank you.Originally posted by Gordonator:there's nothing to worry about and be afraid of. just what are u afraid of anyway?
afraid of the training? as long as you are moderately fit, the training is manageable. don't worry.
afraid of not being able to make friends? try to be friendly, helpful and easy going, u'll get to know new friends very soon. don't worry.
afraid of not be able to see your loved ones? take this as a time to learn to be independent, get out of the comfort zone. u can't rely on your parents forever right? don't worry.
there're lots more harsher challenges in life in stored for u in future, NS is just a small part of it. take this as a opportunity to overcome your fears.
remember, laugh in the face of danger and prevail. take care and good luck.
