Assigned to Vocational Unit without going thru BMT

Yup guys, my nephew is the one being assigned to a Naval unit on the 2nd day of his NS without going thru BMT. Btw he is PES E & i know the norm PES E BMT is 1 week.
His is mono intake. Anyone knows how & why the SAF is doing this to my nephew advantage...
me curious not jealous for i already had my PES E downgrade 8 mths b4 my ORD. -

Wat are the factors SAF decides to post them in this manner. -

best thing abt PES E is... he no need reservist!!

perhaps the unit lack manpower now. and anyway the 1 week BMT really make no different whether he attend it or not.

That is actually the norm for PES E. More PES E(s) directly report to cmpb on than first day than actually go through the 5 days BMTC program.
His NSF life will seem alot longer though because he don't have BMT as a buffer.
