  i look down on people who chao keng. especially those healthy people with no medical conditions finding ways and means to downgrade so that they can escape their job.
  
  do u know that this kind of selfish people are preventing the real people with real medical condition who deserve the downgrade more than them from getting the downgrade as the medical board is now stricter when grading PES status.

  i seriously cldnt' agree more...for GPs or Pte hospitals, doctors could have a
  'vested" interest to give you a more generous status or mc so that you wld keep on going back to them...doctors at govt. hospitals owe you nothing since you're paying using your SAF 11B, so they'll e more frank, and in the opinion of SAF MO-s, more reliable...

  they will always ask you to come back
  
  and will always say this " maybe so and maybe not so"
  
  I have a rare condition that when i went to the poly clinic
  
  he just keep staring on the paper written by a private dr

  SAF medical board is made up of MOs who have deeper knowledge on PES classification and understands all medical conditions that deem a person to deserve a lower PES.
  
  But people often go private hospital because Specialists there are more qualified to ascertain a medical condition and they have credentials which SAF MO don't.
  
  Usually SAF MO dare not challenge the findings of the specialists. But they usually rely on the "Book of PES" to defend themselves.
  
  Meaning if a specialist think if you have a condition and in the "SAF Book" it doesn't define that condition to entitle you a lower PES... then usually they don't award you the lower PES.
  
  Sometimes they just "entertain" you... by downgrading you from A to B. Or temporary C, etc etc.

  If I had a real illness, I would head for my private specialist.
  
  But with regards to downgrades, your govt specialist will be more attuned to what condition merits what sort of PES grading, since they are more in the loop. But I would seek a second opinion for surgery or treatment.
  
  But, if you are able to take the training, for goodness sake, don't be a kengster.
