serve la anyway cannot run away one and i got EIA so its non-combat. i've already asked the college they said u can only apply 1 yr in advanceOriginally posted by Ponders:Most Uni overseas will hold your spot for max 1 year or 3 academic semesters. But varies from school to school.
Since you think you can enter Uni now. Why not apply when NS is about to finish?
Either way, you still need to serve NS, unless you don't plan to.....
nah i hate bio and anything medical i prefer either law or management. why follow the trend anyway? everybody was rushing to go into IT then when the dot com bibble burst they all lost their jobsOriginally posted by Wega007:Overseas school?
depends... once U get in, and U cannot make it within 2yrs, U can always apply for readmission, Need to pay and do paper work.
Yes becoming a nurse is good $$..
at least making SG$70K in USA or UK.
no need to be in a hurry, finish 1 yr of NS then apply. It is not too late.
there you go, people lost their jobs, even managers i'm applying for college in california not university, 2 years community college 2 years in a 4 year universityOriginally posted by Wega007:getting a Law degree in UK is much easier..
USA? sorry Bro, U need a Pre-Law Degree! on top of that U need to work on you LSAT. It is not easy getting into a top 30 Law Uni in USA. Maybe much harder than getting into a top 5 Law School in UK, OZ etc.
going to a Top Bschool in USA? just need alot of $$ if U going private Uni.
check out Businessweek they had a top 50 undergrad Uni.
I knew ppl paying from their pocket finishing off with 3 or 4 Biz major in 4yrs in Bschool.
Going to a top 5 Uni in UK is not that hard, but not sure if U can finish off with so many majors in 3 or 4yrs.
Dot.com bubble bust? IT ppl gone?
well for your info, Intel did not do well and 1st ppl to go are the managers!
A THOUSAND managers just got fired!
SG$70 in USA/UK is not good money.Originally posted by Wega007:Overseas school?

it's not easy to appy for a work permit here in Canada now..Originally posted by Dogtor:Every institution has its own policy with regards to this.
You will have to write to them.
I went to school in Europe and they held my spot for a year until I completed NS.
You will need to complete some matriculation course or high school before you can enter college.
I think Canada, USA, and Australia are easiest to stay on after completing school there. Check out their websites for immigration.
If you want to emigrate - become a nurse in any of those countries. Fairly well-paid and for sure they want you.
Good luck.
Community College is easy, U should have no problem doing well and keeping a GPA of 4.0.Originally posted by vito_corleone:dogtor: i'm doing 2 years in community college first to get the "hang of it" since i'll be fresh out of NS and a total nimwitt after 2 years of service, will finish the remaining 2 years in a university hopefully either NYU or USC if my grades allow me to get a place in as a transfer student, anyway the college im planning to apply to is under the UCLA transfer programme.
Of course if you take more majors, the more you have to pay. When someone says "need alot of $$", it is more commonly perceived that you can buy your way in. Is that true?Originally posted by Wega007:going to a Top Bschool in USA? just need alot of $$ if U going private Uni.

pay your way thru? Hmm true if U can afford $$ like Bush to buy his way thru harvard or Yale.
donate a million US and even bodo can go Stanford. just grad with 2.0 GPA.. haha

For your info, some uni in the top 50 allow U to overload on credits U don't have to pay extra. That is how some Singaporean take double major or what by just paying 1 major fees.
