Lol..Originally posted by Parka:Random question.
If your rifle is taken by an officer to teach you that the rifle should always be by your side, can you charge the officer under the case of theft?
Since it was clearly the rifle was taken without permission. And the military law should apply equally to everyone.
A legal order to commit a crime?Originally posted by LazerLordz:Strictly speaking, if you did not give permission, then it can be stretched all the way to be theft on paper.
But your JDO will probably laugh at you in real life. After all, your PC's actions can be construed as a legal order made into an action.
No no, okay I think I phrased it wrongly.Originally posted by Parka:A legal order to commit a crime?
This reminds me of my BMT days. I almost kicked my sect comd then in the face because I felt a tug and lashed out with my boot.Originally posted by boredandsleepy:this type of incidents have been happening since our grandfather times. it is a training to all cadets on how to protect their valuables when u are aslp at nite.
U ought to be glad that this was taught to u guys in the army instead of trying to sue ur officers, think of it as part of the training and also working out ways to safe guard ur rifles.
my buddy once tot he could outsmart the sgts by wrapping himself ard the rifle and tying the rifle sling around his leg. next day he woke up, rifle sling sling ard leg rifle gone. this is actually fun u know. thinking of ways to keep ur weekend safe.
I don't think the sect comd can do anything to you since you;re protecting your "wife"Originally posted by LazerLordz:This reminds me of my BMT days. I almost kicked my sect comd then in the face because I felt a tug and lashed out with my boot.
From that day on, the rifle became my bed.I kept it below me at all times.
Oh well, he was a younger chap, nice but irritating, not to mention slightly shrill in speech and was less emotional strong.Originally posted by Parka:I don't think the sect comd can do anything to you since you;re protecting your "wife"
remind me of wat happened to 4SIR.. LOLOriginally posted by mhcampboy:
But then again, I notice that only during BMT the sgts/offcs would actually do the stunning of rifles.
Once bmt is over, i think they dun do that anymore....I see the SIR train... some of them just place rifles by their side to sleep. I guess its only strongly emphasize during BMT la.

i think in this case the sgt can be charged right?Originally posted by Hellraiza:during my bmt soc training...one of the sgts grabbed my friends rifle...a tug of war ensued with both sides giving no quarter...suddenly the sgt snapped and charged forward, pinned my buddy on the ground and was pressing the rifle onto my buddy's throat, shouting "you CB! WANT TO LET GO OR NOT!" wah lan eh my buddy had tears in his eyes already...
ahahah, one of my platoon mates wacked the butt into the sgts head...Originally posted by monoslayer:when any of ur sgts/officers try to steal ur rifle when u r asleep, tats the best chance to whack them hard n get away wifout punishment! during my fieldcamp n sit test, i was hoping the sgt i hate most to attempt to steal my rifle.. i was ready to give him a good kick or punch in the face.. he was lucky he din not try anything funny wif me..
